Meet the founder
Maurice Hansberry
Founder & CEO, AAO Enterprises Inc.
Maurice grew up in inner-city Chicago, raised by a single mother. When he lost his father at 16, his family did not have the life insurance or resources to carry the financial weight, and he saw how hard that season was. Years later, he watched his in-laws' family face similar burdens. His father-in-law is alive and well today, and Maurice is grateful this industry gave him the resources to help him get back on his feet. His mother-in-law passed, and the family did not have the coverage to lay her to rest without strain. Those moments led Maurice to ask a hard question: if something happened to him, could his own family keep the life they had built? The honest answer pushed him into this business. He soon realized how many families were in the same position, and AAO was born. Today he helps families understand how life insurance can help while you are living, not only after you are gone, and he mentors people ready to build a career of their own. Against all odds is not just a name. It is where he comes from.
